Pura Vida bracelets – they are beautiful, trendy, colorful, and have a mission to give back. What’s not to love?
Pura Vida was started by two Californians and two Costa Ricans. These beautiful string bracelets made by artisans in Costa Rica turned out to be big sellers back in the US, partly for their craftsmanship and style, but also for their simplicity.
“Pura Vida” means “pure life” in Spanish. This Costa Rican philospy encourages the appreciation of life’s simple treasures, living life to the fullest, and slowing down to enjoy yourself. I love it!
The thing that I really appreciate about Pura Vida as a company is their desire to give back. Not only are they employing artisans around the world to create their bracelets, but many of their styles also bring in funds for charities.
I was able to purchase bracelets for causes that I am passionate about. These pieces of jewelry are now conversation starters, allowing me to talk about awareness of these causes with people who ask me about them.
The styles at Pura Vida Change often. Visit them to see which charity bracelets are available now. These styles may not be listed, but they are the ones I tried when I wrote this review!
This simple solid blue bracelet is for Anxiety Awareness. 10% of profits are donated to the Anxiety & Depression Association of America.
This pretty green bracelet is for Mental Health Awareness. 5% of the purchase price of this bracelet is donated to Mental Health America.
I love this rainbow one! It represents “Random Acts of Kindness”, and 10% of net profits of this bracelet will be donated to Peach’s Neet Feet to donate custom, hand-painted shoes to children with disabilities!
I also got a pretty beaded bracelet to add to my look! How gorgeous is this set? Sets change from time to time, so check out what’s new here!
There are over 80 different bracelets that you can get – I’m sure that your favorite causes are represented here. Cancer awareness , child abuse, Racial Justice Awareness, ocean life, and LBGTQ+ Pride are just a few of the options.
